How Dermaroller rejuvenates your skin.
Dermaroller treatment can be used to treat the face and neck, the décolletage and the backs of hands.
While we can treat the décolletage for rejuvenation we are unable to treat for stretch marks if breast implants are in place.
The number of treatments required depends of the problem being treated:
Rejuvenation – 3 treatment course
Acne Scarring – 5 treatment course
Stretch Marks – 5 treatment course
We recommend approximately 6 weeks between treatments.
Immediately after your Dermaroller treatment on Wirral, you skin will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside after 1 to 2 hours and will normally recover within the same day with only slight redness the following day.
We advise that make up is not applied for 24 hours after the procedure to prevent your skin’s pores from clogging. Use a strong UVA/UVB sunscreen is recommended following the treatment.
Your consultant can advise on what to do following your Dermaroller treatment at Heswall Laser Clinic Wirral. Aloe Vera gel can be applied after the procedure to help soothe and calm the skin.
Use tepid water to cleanse the face until the redness has gone, and dry gently, always make sure your hands are clean when touching the treated area. A UV sunscreen is recommended following your Dermaroller treatment.
It can take up to six weeks before visible signs of skin regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long lasting enhancement.
The results from a Dermaroller treatment are permanent. As it is a repair of the skin, it will not revert after a given time period. Dermaroller for fine lines and wrinkles will improve the skin; however it will not stop skin ageing and new lines forming.
Following your Dermaroller treatment, there should be a visibly regenerated skin to hide the signs of ageing and reduce scars. Your skin will appear more radiated and refreshed. It can take up to six weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long lasting enhancement.
