The skin is treated to a deep, mechanical exfoliation, which gently resurfaces the outer layers of the skin, removing damaged cells and stimulating the skin’s natural cell regenerating process. The result is healthy, natural, smooth and youthful skin.
A specially designed hand-set passes micro-fine medical crystals across the skin. As the crystals make contact, layers of the skin are exfoliated and vacuumed away with the dead skin cells.
The combination of skin exfoliation and slight vacuum stimulates Fibroblasts to produce new healthy, cells in the basal layer of the skin’s epidermis. This leads to cell turnover and improved blood flow.
Your skin will be cleansed and prepped for a hand-held vacuum to work across the skin. Two passes of the skin ensure removal of dead skin cells and specific areas of skin can be treated. For example, congestion or black heads around oily areas like the nose or chin.
To finish a nourishing enzyme mask is applied and creams and SPF ensure the skin is protected.
Skin may appear slightly reddish after treatment, but this should settle within an hour. This is normal.
Occasionally, Microdermabrasion can trigger a breakout in problematic skin, such as spots for those with congested skin.
This is a sign that the treatment is taking effect and this temporary reaction will subside and great improvements will be seen over subsequent treatments.
Skin will be noticeably be revitalised after just one Microdermabrasion treatments, however a course of treatments will result in softer fine-lines and vibrant-looking, smoother skin.
